Reports to: Site Manager

Hours: Part time, 12.5 hours per week

2 positions available with working hours of:

  • 6.00am – 8.30am Monday to Friday
  • 3.30pm – 6.00pm Monday to Friday

Salary: £23,656 FTE (actual salary £7,991 pa)

Main Purpose of the Job:

To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for all pupils, staff, and visitors at Wollescote Primary School.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitise designated areas including classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
  • Perform daily cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and emptying waste bins.
  • Ensure all cleaning materials and supplies are stored safely and used efficiently.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Site Manager.
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Training:

  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning role is desirable but not essential.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices related to cleaning.

Personal Qualities:

  • Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Wollescote Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments will be subject to a satisfactory completion of safeguarding checks. The post is also subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. All applicants must provide proof of right to work in the UK.
