Attendance Officer

We are a 1.5 form entry school with 45 children per year group.


We are seeking to appoint an attendance officer who is committed, highly motivated, reliable and hard-working to join a friendly and established team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about improving student success through excellent attendance& engagement.


Purpose of the role



  • To ensure student attendance, having an innovative approach to improving & sustaining attendance throughout school

  • Monitor and report on whole-school attendance data, analysing data and trends to identify key areas of concern

  • To work closely with pupils, staff, parents, and carers to reduce levels of absence, and act appropriately when persistent absence becomes a safeguarding issue

  • Craft individualised attendance plans and provide support as appropriate

  • To identify any safeguarding issue in line with the school procedures


Working Pattern


This is a permanent part time position to work 39 weeks per year


23 hrs per week Monday - Friday 8-12pm & 3 hours


The closing date for this role is midday onThursday 24th September 2026
