We are looking for an experienced Senior Coach to join our team for weekly sessions at our Eastbourne Academy. In this role, you will work as part of a coaching team, leading practices and small-sided games with groups of up to 20 players.

We Make Footballers is a professional football coaching company welcoming players of all abilities aged 4–12. Our goal is to help every player become the best they can be through individual development and mastering the football fundamentals.

The ideal candidate will have experience in grassroots or commercial football coaching, strong child behaviour management skills, and a recognised coaching qualification (FA Level 1 or local equivalent). A First Aid qualification is also desirable.

Duties

  • Design and deliver fun, energetic football training sessions tailored to different age groups within the 4–12 range
  • Teach fundamental football skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and game rules in an engaging manner
  • Foster a supportive environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship among young players
  • Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development
  • Ensure all activities adhere to safety standards and promote a positive sporting experience
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and participation
  • Organize age-appropriate games and mini-tournaments to build confidence and enjoyment in the sport

Experience

  • Proven sports coaching experience, preferably with children or youth teams in the 4–12 age bracket
  • Strong background in teaching or instructing children in sports or physical activities
  • Ability to execute engaging lesson plans that cater to varying skill levels and developmental stages
  • Excellent communication skills to motivate young athletes and collaborate with parents and team members
  • Knowledge of basic first aid procedures and safety protocols related to youth sports coaching
