Our flagship learning platform, Father’s Ed, is designed to help expectant and new dads become confident, informed, and equal partners in parenting. Through practical, expert-led content, Father’s Ed empowers men to engage fully in family life. We believe that supporting dads helps everyone - mothers, children, workplaces, and society.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a volunteer Bubble.io Web Developer to help build, debug, and scale our core no-code SaaS platform: Father’s Ed. You’ll work alongside a passionate team of creatives and educators to enhance the usability, responsiveness, and overall functionality of our product using the Bubble.io platform - no traditional coding required, but deep platform fluency is essential. This is a fully remote, flexible-time role suited to someone with hands-on experience in Bubble looking to apply their skills to a meaningful, real-world product.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and update responsive pages and workflows within Bubble.io, using its visual editor and logic tools.
- Debug issues in existing components using Bubble’s debugger, logs, and conditionals.
- Implement and manage custom states, reusable elements, and option sets to enhance scalability.
- Optimise the app for performance, responsiveness, and mobile accessibility.
- Collaborate with team members to integrate visual assets, content, and data from our CMS and API endpoints.
- Contribute to user testing and QA to refine the user experience.
- Suggest platform improvements and participate in roadmap discussions.
You Should Have
- Hands-on experience using Bubble.io to build apps with moderate-to-complex logic.
- Proficiency in setting up data structures, custom workflows, privacy rules, and integrations via API Connector.
- Understanding of responsive layout techniques within the Bubble environment.
- Experience using versioning tools (like Git or Bubble’s built-in version control) is a plus.
- A sharp eye for debugging and logical problem-solving.
- Ability to collaborate in a remote team using tools like Slack and Notion.
- A proactive mindset and a genuine interest in supporting fathers and families.
What You’ll Gain
- Real-world experience contributing to a live SaaS platform built entirely on Bubble.
- The opportunity to improve and shape a product with social impact.
- Recognition on our platform and across our channels for your contribution.
- Flexible hours – contribute as and when you can.
- A solid portfolio project and references from a purpose-driven UK startup.
