Volunteer for a startup empowering aspiring African entrepreneurs. Pan Africa Women Empowerment Network (PAWEN) is a startup strategically working to address challenges faced by aspiring African entrepreneurs through several cohort-based programs. The "Aspiring Entrepreneurs Program" guides them to establish and expand successful businesses through masterclasses, expert coaching, and peer learning. "TechUp Africa" nurtures talents with scholarships, mentorship, hackathons, and partnerships offering internships and job placements. Furthermore, "Onboard Her" prepares senior leaders for board roles, enhancing their success as board members. These initiatives, complemented by continuous "lunch and learn" sessions, create a rich ecosystem where they can develop competence, confidence, and connections to excel in their respective fields.
Role Description: PAWEN is seeking a volunteer No-Code App Builder to design and deploy a simple digital platform for our Global Women in Motion Steps Challenge taking place in March. The volunteer will build a lightweight, mobile-friendly web platform using no-code or low-code tools such as Google Forms, Google Sheets, Airtable, Glide, or Softr or any relevant tools. The platform will support participant registration, weekly step submissions, and automated leaderboards at global, regional, and country levels.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing a simple participant registration flow
- Creating a weekly step submission process
- Setting up automated leaderboards and basic data validation
- Ensuring the platform is easy to use on mobile devices
- Providing a short handover guide so PAWEN staff can manage the system independently
This is a short-term, clearly scoped project with immediate, visible global impact. The role is ideal for someone interested in social impact, women’s wellbeing, and practical digital solutions.
Time Commitment: Volunteer 7-9 hours per week for 1-2 weeks remotely. If you want to make change happen, apply to volunteer with PAWEN!
