At Calm Nest Collective, we address the rising need for mental wellbeing support, neuroinclusion, and accessibility in high-stress environments like events and workplaces, while promoting social equity and sustainable practices that prioritise people and the planet.

Our Calm Nest Spaces are thoughtfully designed to support mental wellbeing and provide a safe, inclusive environment for individuals to decompress and recharge - especially those who are neurodivergent or experiencing stress and overwhelm. By combining practical solutions with inclusive design, we help events and workplaces become safer, more supportive, and truly human-centered spaces for everyone.

Role (Volunteer, unpaid): Graphic & Visual Content Designer

Role Description: Calm Nest Collective seeks a creative, values-driven Graphic, Video & Visual content Designer to bring our mission to life through calm, intentional visuals, videos, and compelling materials like pitch decks across LinkedIn, Instagram, and campaigns. This expanded role translates our authentic voice, rooted in wellbeing, neuroinclusion, and sustainability, into graphics, short videos, and professional pitch materials that advocate for calmer, more inclusive spaces in events, workplaces, and public venues. You’ll collaborate closely with our founder and Content & Social Media Manager for cohesive, impactful storytelling with real social purpose.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing visually engaging posts, carousels, stories, templates, and short videos aligned with our content calendar.
  • Creating and editing compelling videos (e.g., reels, explainers) that capture our calm, human essence.
  • Developing professional pitch decks, workshop materials, and campaign assets for partnerships and speaking gigs.
  • Adapting brand assets and rebranding existing materials into consistent, recognizable formats.
  • Brainstorming creative visuals and motion graphics for wellbeing, sustainability, and inclusion themes.

We have a strong brand voice, what we need is someone who mirrors it in clear, calm designs and videos that reduce overwhelm and inspire action.

You’ll thrive if you:

  • Care deeply about mental health, inclusion, and design with purpose.
  • Are proficient in Canva (required), video tools (e.g., CapCut, Premiere), and pitch design (e.g., Canva/Keynote).
  • Have experience creating social videos, pitch decks, and promotional materials.
  • Have experience working in a scale up startup environment.
  • Love collaborative, initiative-driven work without urgency or burnout.

What we offer:

  • Full access to our Canva Pro Teams subscription.
  • Flexible, remote collaboration built on trust.
  • Opportunity to shape visuals and videos advancing neurodivergent-friendly spaces and sustainability.
  • Recommendation or reference letter.

Note: This is a long-term role, apply only if you’re truly aligned and committed. We review applications thoughtfully. If this resonates, we’d love to connect.

Time Commitment: Volunteer 4-6 hours per week for 6+ months remotely. If you want to make change, apply to volunteer with Calm Nest Collective!
