Delivery Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles, including vans, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and meet delivery deadlines.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly during transit.
• Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times, delays, or issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Assist with warehouse duties when required, including organising stock and preparing goods for dispatch.
• Uphold high standards of professionalism and customer service at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within logistics or transportation.
• Valid driver\’s licence with a clean driving record. Must be ages 30 years+ for insurance purposes.
• Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as vans or lorries.
• Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations within the area of operation.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, including loading and unloading goods.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers.
• Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Organised with the ability to manage time efficiently under tight schedules. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in their driving skills and delivering excellent service while maintaining safety standards throughout their shift.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £488.40-£520.00 per week
