This position is being advertised by Alfa AI on behalf of Five Guys.
Five Guys is hiring a Senior Restaurant Technology Architect to own the technical architecture, standards and operational resilience of restaurant technology across the UK, France, Spain and Germany.
This is a senior hands-on technical role, not a people-management position, reporting to the IT Director and acting as the technical authority for restaurant technology across the estate.
You will own the technical stability of systems including POS, payments, restaurant networks, kiosks, digital menu boards, order-ready boards, CCTV, integrations and other in-store infrastructure.
You will support major incidents, identify root causes behind outages, drive permanent fixes, review supplier configurations and technical designs, define standards for new openings and technology rollouts, and ensure systems are properly documented and supportable before deployment.
Experience with NCR Aloha or a comparable restaurant/retail POS platform is highly desirable.
We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in restaurant, retail or hospitality technology, ideally supporting large multi-site environments where uptime is commercially critical.
You must be able to troubleshoot complex technical dependencies, challenge suppliers and weak technical designs, create clear architecture/configuration/support documentation, and make decisions quickly during live operational issues.
Multi-country experience and French, Spanish or German language skills are useful but not essential
