About Our Client

An established life sciences manufacturer seeking Lab Chemists for a collaborative, innovation‑driven work environment.

The Role

Our client is recruiting Lab Chemists who will be responsible for conducting analysis and purification of custom and catalogue peptides using a range of Chromatography and Mass Spectroscopy systems and performing manual solution‑phase modifications and cleavage of peptides from the resin.

Prior scientific experience would be preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS) of custom and catalogue peptides using automated synthesizers.
  • Carry out manual on‑resin modifications and peptide cleavage from the resin.
  • Conduct analysis and purification of peptides using Chromatography and Mass Spectroscopy systems.
  • Perform manual solution‑phase modifications and peptide cleavage.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in line with ISO 13485 regulatory standards.
  • Troubleshoot technical and process‑related issues.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth integration of processes.
  • Participate in research and innovation projects to support continuous improvement.
  • Keep up to date with relevant scientific and technological developments.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members.
