Salary: £25,449.00 - £26,583.00

Hours: 35 (+ 2 hours contractual overtime)

Working Schedule: Tuesday to Friday with weekends off. 4 day condensed working 8.75 hours a day. 2 hours contractual overtime is compulsory making a total of 37 hours per week. Part-time may be considered.

Stirling Council aims to provide the residents of the Stirling area with a reliable waste collection service. As a Waste Loader, you will provide an invaluable service to the residents of the Stirling area, ensuring that their waste is collected on a regular basis. Your role will require you to:

  • Collect waste and load it into a collection vehicle on a specified route
  • Uplift various types of waste
  • Assist the drivers with the manoeuvring of the vehicle
  • Perform any other tasks required by the service

You will be required to comply with the safe systems of work for refuse collection and clean & deliver bins throughout the Stirling area.

To be successful in this role, you will be physically fit and prepared to walk 10 - 15 miles per day carrying heavy loads over rough ground in all weathers. You will have a strong constitution regarding adverse odours.

This is an opportunity for you to provide a vital service to the community by ensuring that all waste is removed, leaving a clean and tidy environment. You will have contact with members of the public and will act as a representative of the Council.
