Kitchen & Customer Service Team Member

Location: Hove, East Sussex

Job Type: Part-time (16–24 hours per week)

Pay: £12.50–£13.50 per hour (depending on experience)

About We Got Soul

We Got Soul is a Caribbean-inspired soul food business serving bold flavours from our established, permanent food truck location in Hove. Alongside serving walk-in customers, we also operate through Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Just Eat and Click & Collect, providing a fast-paced, modern takeaway experience.

We're looking for a reliable, enthusiastic team member to become an important part of our growing business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in producing quality food and wants to grow with an ambitious independent brand.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Preparing and cooking menu items to WGS standards.
  • Packing Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Just Eat and Click & Collect orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Serving walk-in customers with excellent customer service.
  • Supporting food preparation before service.
  • Opening and closing the trailer using our operating procedures.
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness throughout each shift.
  • Monitoring stock levels and communicating when supplies are running low.
  • Working efficiently during busy periods whilst maintaining quality and consistency.

  • Friendly, positive and reliable.
  • Punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicating with customers.
  • Able to work well as part of a small team.
  • Previous hospitality or kitchen experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Typical Hours

Wednesday – Saturday

Typical shifts fall between 11:30am and 9:30pm, with flexibility depending on business needs.
