Social Worker – Disabled Children’s Team Role: Social Worker – Disabled Children’s Team Service: Children’s Social Care Contract: Locum / Temporary About the Role We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join a Disabled Children’s Team. You will work with children and families to assess needs, identify appropriate support and ensure children receive the right services to promote their safety, wellbeing and development. Key Responsibilities Complete initial and statutory assessments of children with disabilities. Identify children and family needs and recommend appropriate packages of support. Hold and manage Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP) and Children Looked After (CLA) cases. Work collaboratively with children, families and partner agencies. Develop and review care and support plans. Undertake safeguarding assessments and interventions where required. Maintain accurate case records and produce reports in line with statutory requirements. Essential Experience Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration. Previous experience working within a Disabled Children’s Team or with disabled children and their families is essential. Experience managing CIN, CP and/or CLA cases. Strong assessment, safeguarding and case management skills. Ability to work effectively with families and multi-agency professionals
