3-Month Contract (Rolling) Hybrid Working/Remote We Do Social Work is recruiting on behalf of a local authority for 4 SEND Coordinators to join two area teams supporting the delivery of statutory SEND services. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced SEND professionals to manage a caseload and play a key role in ensuring children and young people receive timely, high-quality Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) support.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold and manage a SEND caseload across one of two area teams
- Complete draft amended and final EHCPs following annual reviews and meetings
- Oversee phase transfer processes and ensure statutory deadlines are met
- Coordinate and quality assure annual review paperwork and associated casework
- Maintain regular communication with families, schools, settings and professionals
- Prepare and submit requests to funding and placement panels in line with EHCP provision
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice
Requirements
- Experience working within a SEND service or statutory SEND environment
- Strong knowledge of EHCP processes, annual reviews and phase transfers
- Experience managing a caseload and working to statutory timescales
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
Working Arrangements
- Hybrid working model
- Equipment collection required in person
- Attendance at team meetings in person where possible
- Ideally 1 day per week in the office, although fully virtual working will be considered for the right candidate
