JOB DESCRIPTION Childrens Services Family  Intervention Worker - Early years, early help and neighbourhoods Hourly Rate: PAYE £tbc | Umbrella £16 Post Objectives:     To organise, supervise, record and assess Family time with an awareness of safeguarding the child To function as a member of the team carrying out duties and responsibilities required for the day to day running of the service. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: To plan and provide child centred supervision of children’s family time to parents, family, friends and carers working with court orders and referring agencies contact decisions. To provide concise, relevant and accurate recording of family time sessions and discussion with other professional and agencies in line with internal policy and procedural guidance. To undertake assessments of child and family time sessions for court proceedings and where required prepare, present to courts and referral agencies. To manage a caseload and ensure that client confidentiality is maintained (in accordance with procedures) at all times. To intervene and act in accordance with safeguarding procedures within your centre and in accordance with those of the Local Safeguarding Board and referring agency. To provide transport when required and as identified as part of a Care Plan. To participate in regular supervision sessions, attend appropriate meetings and participate in relevant and development activity. To observe and carry out statutory regulation procedures and policies, appropriate to   the service area. To organise, prioritise and manage workload under your own initiative in a creative and flexible approach. To support young people in maintaining Family time with family members/significant others whilst in the care of the Local Authority and support rehabilitation plans to parents and / or connective carers. To actively seek the wishes and feelings of children and young people, to encourage their participation in decision making.  To attend court as required as a representative of the Local Authority.  To actively seek the wishes and feelings of children and young people, to encourage their participation in decision making. To undertake all other duties/ responsibilities (as may reasonably be required within) that may arise within the overall job role This role is Monday-Friday 9am -6pm (36 hours) After school family times are busiest so most days will finish at 6pm this is where the need is currently. Hours will be discussed with Team Manager. Office based - Will be required to work from other Tameside offices and  also community working required to facilitate family time.
