We are seeking an experienced social worker within our Connected Care team. The social worker will need to complete assessments of family and friends, liaising with the Family Safeguarding Team, and contributing to the care planning process as endorsed by the court.

The social worker should have a sound understanding of kinship care arrangements, most notably connected carers and special guardians; and the Government's recently produced kinship strategy. The successful candidate must have knowledge of fostering regulations and the National Minimum Standards.

Where a child can't remain in their family home, we would always seek to support kinship care arrangements, and the social worker should have experience of completing assessments that creatively and robustly explore and analyse both the respective strengths but also areas of support for that proposed carer.
