We Do Social Work is recruiting experienced and qualified Educational Psychologists to join a supportive Educational Psychology Service on a flexible locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality statutory Educational Psychology advice as part of the Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) process. The role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people.
The Role
- Undertake psychological assessments for children and young people as part of statutory SEN processes.
- Complete high-quality Educational Psychology advice to support Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs).
- Identify children's strengths, needs, outcomes, and recommended provision.
- Conduct face-to-face visits within schools, educational settings, and family homes.
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, SEND teams, and other professionals.
- Produce clear, evidence-based reports that meet statutory deadlines and quality standards.
Two days are allocated for each Educational Psychology advice completed, allowing sufficient time for assessment, consultation, and report writing.
Requirements
- An Honours Degree in Psychology.
- A recognised Postgraduate qualification (Master's or Doctorate) in Educational Psychology.
- HCPC registration (or eligibility if newly qualified).
- Experience completing statutory Educational Psychology assessments and contributing to EHC Needs Assessments.
- Sound knowledge of SEND legislation and current Educational Psychology practice.
- Excellent assessment, report-writing, communication, and organisational skills.
- A commitment to inclusive, child-centred practice.
