Adult Social Care Brokerage Officer Location: Nottinghamshire Contract: Interim / Temporary We are recruiting an experienced Adult Social Care Brokerage Officer. The role will involve sourcing, negotiating and arranging care packages and residential/nursing placements that meet assessed needs, individual preferences, budget and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities Broker personalised care packages and placements for adults. Source residential, nursing and community-based care. Negotiate with providers to secure suitable and cost-effective packages. Liaise with Social Workers, individuals, families and care providers. Support timely hospital discharges, including weekends where required. Maintain strong provider relationships and monitor availability. Ensure packages are arranged within agreed timescales and budgets. Maintain accurate records using Mosaic and other IT systems. Apply safeguarding principles and escalate concerns appropriately. Requirements Previous experience in Adult Social Care Brokerage, Commissioning, Placements or Purchasing. Knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, safeguarding and CQC. Strong negotiation, financial and analytical skills. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Good IT skills, including Excel and ideally Mosaic.
