We are looking for a committed and resilient Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Liverpool. This is a vital frontline role where you will work with children and families to reduce risk, ensure safety, and promote positive outcomes.
You will manage complex cases involving child protection, child in need, and court proceedings, working closely with partners to safeguard children and support families through challenging circumstances.
- Manage a varied caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans and Child in Need Plans
- Undertake Section 47 investigations and risk assessments
- Develop and review care and safety plans to protect children from harm
- Prepare high-quality reports for conferences and court proceedings
- Work in partnership with police, health, education, and other agencies
- Participate in duty systems and respond to safeguarding concerns promptly
About You
- Qualified Social Worker (BA/MA Social Work or equivalent)
- Registered with Social Work England
- Experience within safeguarding, child protection, or frontline children’s services
- Strong decision‑making skills and ability to assess risk effectively
- Confident in court work and report writing
- Able to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing demands
