WeDo Social Work is currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Tribunals Case Officer to join a busy SEND service on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong experience of SEND Tribunal appeals, EHCPs and case management who can confidently manage complex cases, tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders.

The Role

  • Managing a caseload of SEND Tribunal appeals
  • Coordinating responses to Tribunal directions and deadlines
  • Preparing and collating evidence and documentation
  • Liaising with parents, carers, young people, schools, legal representatives and professionals
  • Working closely with SEND, education, legal and social care teams
  • Supporting the preparation of Tribunal bundles and case statements
  • Monitoring case progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Ensuring all work is compliant with relevant SEND legislation, regulations and statutory guidance
  • Identifying potential areas of risk and escalating issues appropriately
  • Supporting effective communication and resolution throughout the Tribunal process

About You

  • Previous experience managing SEND Tribunal cases or appeals
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and the EHCP process
  • Excellent case-management and organisational skills
  • Experience working to statutory deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage sensitive and complex situations professionally
  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple professional teams
  • Local authority SEND experience is highly desirable
