About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our Permanence Team in Liverpool. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people by securing stable, long-term placements that support their future wellbeing.
You will work with children in care, care leavers, foster carers, and adoptive families to achieve permanence through adoption, long-term fostering, or special guardianship arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children with a focus on achieving timely permanence
- Undertake assessments including Special Guardianship Orders (SGO) and adoption reports
- Develop and implement care plans that meet the needs of children and young people
- Work closely with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes
- Attend court proceedings and provide high-quality evidence and reports
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and carers
About You
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work degree (e.g., BA/MA Social Work or equivalent)
- Registered with Social Work England
- Experience working within children’s services, ideally in permanence, adoption, or fostering
- Strong assessment and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
