Adult Social Care Brokerage Officer
Location: Nottinghamshire
Contract: Interim / Temporary
We are recruiting an experienced Adult Social Care Brokerage Officer.
The role will involve sourcing, negotiating and arranging care packages and residential/nursing placements that met assessed needs, individual preferences, budget and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Broker personalised care packages and placements for adults.
- Source residential, nursing and community-based care.
- Negotiate with providers to secure suitable and cost-effective packages.
- Liaise with Social Workers, individuals, families and care providers.
- Support timely hospital discharges, including weekends where required.
- Maintain strong provider relationships and monitor availability.
- Ensure packages are arranged within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Maintain accurate records using Mosaic and other IT systems.
- Apply safeguarding principles and elevate concerns appropriately.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Adult Social Care Brokerage, Commissioning, Placements or Purchasing.
- Knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, safeguarding and CQC.
- Strong negotiation, financial and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Good IT skills, including Excel and ideally Mosaic.
- Ability to manage a busy workload and work independently.
