About the Role
We’re hiring a Senior Financial Accountant for the UK entity of a global brand. The role sits in a lean team with three clear areas of responsibility:
- Cashflow – indirect and direct
- Stock
- Technical accounting & controls
You’ll take ownership of existing models and reporting, but you’ll also be expected to drive process and control improvements within these areas.
WISH LIST
- Experience in indirect cashflow and confidence explaining what moves the forecast.
- A solution-focused mindset with a background & interest in technical accounting.
- Strong Excel and confidence working with large, imperfect datasets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the end-to-end process for indirect and direct cashflow forecasting and refresh cycles.
- Improve cash visibility by building better inputs around procurement, ordering and payment terms.
- Partner closely with AP to help manage payment timing when needed (with payroll and key commitments protected).
- Lead stock reporting across physical assets, including the split between inventory and capital stock.
- Explain stock movements clearly: what changed, what drove it, and what it meant for the wider forecast.
- Act as the finance “technical lead” on non-standard contracts and transactions.
- Maintain and improve the financial control framework – keeping what adds value and simplifying what doesn’t.
- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reporting to group.
- Support the annual statutory and group audit process.
- Own key balance sheet reconciliations and monthly balance sheet packs.
- Manage and develop a Junior Financial Accountant, setting clear priorities and building confidence.
- Look for practical ways to redesign reporting and processes (often using technology) to make the output faster and better.
YOUR PROFILE
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and comfortable with large datasets.
- Indirect cashflow experience is essential.
- Comfortable handling technical accounting queries: you know how to research standards, form a view, and write it up clearly.

- 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
- Other benefits on request.
