Are you an experienced finance professional who thrives in leading transactional teams and driving continuous improvement? Do you have a strong understanding of cash management and the importance of accurate, timely reporting to support business decisions? We’re working with a PE-backed media group seeking a Transactional Finance Manager to take ownership of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and cash management across a growing international business. This is a key, hands-on role reporting to the Group Financial Controller, leading a small team and ensuring efficient, accurate processes that underpin the company’s cashflow and working capital management.
THE ROLE- Lead and develop the AP and AR teams, ensuring accurate, timely processing and strong controls
- Oversee end-to-end Accounts Payable and Receivable cycles, including employee expenses and corporate cards
- Provide regular, insightful reporting to the SLT on AP/AR performance, overdue balances, and cash movements
- Maintain an active focus on cash – understanding timing of inflows/outflows, highlighting early or late receipts, and supporting controllers with up-to-date cashflow forecasts
- Produce weekly dashboards and commentary on DSO, DPO, and working capital trends
- Review and challenge team performance, embedding a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Support process automation, standardisation, and system integration projects
- Ensure data accuracy across financial systems and maintain audit-ready documentation
- Collaborate with FP&A and the wider finance team to align transactional outputs with forecasting and reporting needs
- Experienced transactional finance leader with proven AP and AR management background
- Strong understanding of cash management and working capital
- Skilled in process improvement, automation and reporting
- Effective communicator able to partner confidently with senior stakeholders
- Strong Excel and systems skills
- Mainly remote – occasional travel to the London office
