Are you a qualified practice accountant or active studier looking for a broader client‑facing role? Do you enjoy working across a varied portfolio while supporting and developing others? We're hiring for a Senior Associate to join a well‑established and growing accountancy practice's outsourcing team in Guildford. This is a newly created role driven by growth, offering the chance to work closely with a diverse client base while playing a key part in delivery, review, and team development.
You'll be joining a collaborative environment with a strong focus on quality, client relationships, and continuous improvement – ideal for someone who enjoys both technical work and mentoring junior team members.
Wish List- Experience preparing and reviewing management accounts and statutory financial statements within practice
- Confident working with cloud accounting tools (Xero essential) and Excel
- Comfortable reviewing work and supporting junior team members
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients
- Produce statutory financial statements under FRS105 and FRS102 (including consolidated accounts)
- Review bookkeeping and financial data prepared by clients or junior staff
- Support the preparation of VAT returns and review submissions
- Assist with onboarding new clients, including compliance processes
- Provide support and guidance on accounting systems and software
- Handle day‑to‑day client queries and build strong working relationships
- Train, support, and review the work of junior team members
- Delegate work effectively and ensure quality output across the team
- Contribute to fee proposals and new business opportunities
- Support cashflow forecasting and budgeting work for clients
- Identify and suggest improvements to processes and ways of working
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA) or active studier
- Effective communicator – written
