We’re partnering with a rapidly scaling global engineering and project services business to find an experienced PMO Manager to help build and develop its PMO capability. The business is growing quickly across Europe and internationally, with lots happening across transformation, systems, operations and strategic projects. They now need someone who can bring structure, visibility and accountability to how these initiatives are managed and delivered.

This is a newly created role with genuine scope, autonomy and exposure. Reporting to the Group CFO, you’ll help shape the PMO, improve project delivery and ensure key initiatives keep moving across the Group.

We’re particularly interested in people who have built or developed PMO functions within engineering, construction, manufacturing, infrastructure or another project-led environment. Experience within a Private Equity-backed business would also be highly advantageous, particularly around transformation, due diligence, exit readiness or building stronger governance and reporting.

The Role

This is much more than project coordination. You’ll be helping to build and shape the PMO capability while working across some of the Group’s most important strategic projects. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Building and developing PMO frameworks, governance and reporting across the Group.
  • Managing the portfolio of strategic projects and helping drive successful delivery.
  • Bringing structure and consistency to multiple projects and workstreams across different countries.
  • Producing clear reporting, dashboards and insights for the Executive Team and Board.
  • Tracking milestones, risks, budgets, dependencies and overall project performance.
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders to drive accountability and keep projects moving.
  • Improving PMO processes, reporting, tooling and project governance.
  • Supporting transformation, operational improvement and other strategic initiatives as the business continues to scale.

About You

We’re looking for a confident, organised and commercially minded PMO professional who enjoys building, improving and getting things done. You’ll be comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where everything isn’t already perfectly structured. You’ll need to be able to create that structure, influence senior stakeholders and help turn strategic priorities into deliverable plans.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Experience building, developing or improving a PMO within a global or multi-site business.
  • Experience within engineering, construction, manufacturing, infrastructure or another project-led environment.
  • Strong programme governance, reporting and project delivery skills.
  • The confidence to manage and organise multiple workstreams across different countries.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to challenge and influence senior people.
  • A hands-on approach and the autonomy to make things happen.
  • Experience within a PE-backed environment, due diligence, exit readiness or significant business transformation would be highly advantageous.

Why Join?

This is a brilliant time to join. The business is rapidly scaling, there’s plenty happening, and this role will have a genuine impact on how the organisation manages and delivers its biggest strategic priorities. You’ll work closely with an excellent leadership team, have visibility across the Group and play a key role in building a PMO capability that can support the next phase of growth.

If this sounds like the right opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.
