We are seeking an ambitious and detail‑oriented Finance Reporting Manager to lead the preparation, analysis, and delivery of accurate financial reports and management information. Based from the Reading office, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, driving continuous improvement in financial reporting processes, and supporting strategic business decisions through high‑quality financial insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP).
  • Manage the month‑end close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
  • Lead the consolidation of group financial results and prepare management reporting packs for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide analytical support and variance analysis to explain business performance and trends.
  • Partner with business units to enhance the quality and usefulness of financial information and forecasting processes.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles with accurate historical and trend data.
  • Drive improvements in reporting systems, processes, and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop finance team members.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a strong technical accounting background.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, ideally within a mid‑to‑large organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or UK GAAP reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience managing or mentoring a team is desirable.
