We’re supporting a specialist wealth and investment management business undertaking a significant platform transformation programme and are looking to appoint an experienced Investment Platform Migration Consultant on an interim basis. This is a business‑critical role focused on the migration of client, portfolio, and investment data onto a new investment management platform.

The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of investment operations and how financial data flows across wealth management environments, rather than simply having generic data migration experience. This role is particularly suited to candidates from wealth management, investment management, private banking, family office, or alternative investment environments who have previously supported platform implementations, operational change programmes, or investment system migrations.

The Role

Working within a major transformation programme, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the successful migration and validation of complex investment and client data. You’ll act as the link between operational teams, system vendors, and project stakeholders, helping to ensure the new platform accurately reflects client portfolios, investment holdings, transactions, and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the migration of client, portfolio, transaction, and investment data into a new investment platform
  • Perform detailed reconciliations and validation of holdings, valuations, transactions, fee structures, and performance data
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to define and test platform rules, workflows, and operational processes
  • Support UAT, testing, defect resolution, and business sign‑off activities
  • Investigate and resolve data quality issues, exceptions, and reconciliation breaks
  • Validate data received from custodians, fund administrators, and third‑party market data providers
  • Assist with the migration of both listed and private market investment data, including alternative assets and off‑system holdings
  • Ensure investment restrictions, client mandates, and operational controls are accurately reflected within the target platform
  • Produce clear documentation and reporting to support project delivery and governance
  • Work collaboratively with vendors, operations teams, and senior stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience within Wealth Management, Investment Management, Private Banking, Family Office, or Asset Management environments
  • Strong understanding of financial assets, investment transactions, portfolio structures, and investment operations
  • Previous involvement in investment platform implementations, migrations, or transformation projects
  • Experience working with custodians, fund administrators, and market data providers
  • Strong reconciliation, testing, and data validation experience
  • Understanding of investment regulations, controls, and operational processes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience with investment management platforms such as FA Solutions, Expersoft, FNZ, Avaloq, Charles River, SimCorp, or similar would be advantageous

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to join a major transformation programme at a critical stage and play a key role in delivering a new investment platform. You'll work alongside experienced investment professionals, technology teams, and senior stakeholders while helping shape the future operating model of the business.
