A high growth international business is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their Finance team. This role offers a broad, hands-on experience across Finance, Logistics, Operations, and Customer Services.
You will support various tasks including:
- Month end close and preparation of management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of discrepancies
- Maintaining accounting schedules for prepayments, fixed assets, sales, and commissions
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Gaining exposure to stock and inventory accounting
- Working closely with Logistics and Operations to understand costs and performance
- Supporting accounting across postage, carriers, refunds, and chargebacks
- Developing an understanding of financial and operational data flow into management reporting
- Using Excel and data tools to enhance analysis and reporting
- Identifying opportunities to simplify and automate Finance processes
- Supporting year end, audit, statutory reporting, and wider Finance projects
The ideal candidate will be:
- Studying towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, or keen to begin a professional qualification
- Experienced in supporting management accounts or month end reconciliations
- Naturally analytical with a genuine interest in understanding the “why” behind the numbers
- Proficient in Excel with an interest in developing data and systems knowledge
- Experienced in product, retail, consumer, or international business
- Familiar with stock, inventory, logistics, or high volume transactional data
- Proactive, bright, and comfortable taking ownership
- Ambitious and eager to learn and grow with the business
