We need someone who can start ASAP. We are working with one of the most interesting and exciting businesses in the South East to find an Interim Finance Business Partner. It’s a brilliant business. Fast-paced, ambitious and with loads going on.
We’re looking for someone who can get close to the business, get underneath the numbers and help people make better commercial decisions. This is a proper Finance Business Partnering role. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, bringing insight, challenge and a strong commercial Finance voice to decision-making. The team and culture is progressive, supportive and high performing.
What will you be doing?
- Partnering senior operational and commercial stakeholders across the business
- Helping stakeholders understand performance and what is driving the numbers
- Leading forecasting and supporting budgeting and planning
- Analysing revenue, margin, costs and overall business performance
- Identifying risks and opportunities and helping the business decide what to do about them
- Building scenarios around different opportunities, investments and decisions
- Supporting business cases and commercial decision-making
- Improving management information, reporting and analysis
- Understanding profitability and performance across different areas of the business
- Challenging assumptions and bringing insight into decision-making
- Improving financial understanding and accountability across the business
- Looking at processes, reporting and finding better ways of doing things
What are we looking for?
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong background in Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance or FP&A.
- You’ll need to be analytical, commercially curious and confident working with senior stakeholders.
- We want someone who can take a set of numbers, understand what is really going on and explain what it means for the business.
- Someone who asks questions. Someone who spots things. Someone who enjoys working with people outside of Finance and can build relationships quickly.
- You’ll need to be comfortable operating at pace, dealing with change and working in a business where there is always plenty happening.
- Experience within a high-growth, PE-backed, listed or similarly fast-paced business would be particularly interesting.
- Most importantly, we need a strong Finance Business Partner who can influence, challenge and genuinely help the business make better decisions.
