We are supporting one of the most iconic retail businesses in the world on a major value delivery programme across their supply chain. They are looking for an experienced Interim Commercial Finance Manager to step in and act as a true commercial business partner across finance, procurement and operations. This is a high-impact role focused on business case analysis, supply chain cost insight, value tracking and ensuring major initiatives deliver real financial outcomes, not just good intentions.

What you’ll be doing:
- Acting as a true commercial finance partner across supply chain, procurement and programme teams
- Leading end-to-end business case analysis, challenging assumptions, phasing, risks and financial impact
- Building and stress-testing advanced Excel models, validating inputs and ensuring value stacks up
- Delivering commercial analysis across supply chain and operational cost drivers, identifying opportunities and risks
- Partnering with project managers to ensure financials align with delivery plans and milestones
- Supporting procurement-led initiatives with clear governance, savings methodology and value assurance
- Tracking value delivery at initiative level, updating savings, confidence, risks, timing and ownership
- Producing senior-ready commercial insights and commentary for CFOs, GMs and non-finance leaders
- Highlighting slippage, cost pressure and required actions early, keeping programmes honest and on track
- Supporting governance processes including accruals, claims, supplier credits and approvals
- Ensuring controls, documentation and audit trail are robust for supplier-linked financial activity
- Operating at pace in a fast-moving environment with ambiguity and imperfect data
What you’ll need:
- Strong commercial finance experience at Finance BP / Commercial Finance Manager level
- Excellent business case and value delivery capability with confidence to challenge
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills, comfortable with large data sets
- Strong stakeholder management across procurement, supply chain and finance
- Experience in FMCG, retail, logistics or high-volume supply chain environments is a real advantage
