About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity within a multi-billion turnover business based near Reading. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can come in and just add value!!
Key Responsibilities:
- Support with balance sheet accounting and assurance.
- Manage all statutory accounting and reporting.
- Oversee systems and process transformations.
- Lead compliance, risk management, and controllership.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasts, and variance reporting.
- Coordinate regulatory reporting requirements.
- Research and resolve technical accounting issues.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
- Manage tax filings and compliance with reporting requirements.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies.
- Take ownership of balance sheet controls, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliations, and identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
- Implement processes to enhance the efficiency and reliability of balance sheet management and reporting.
- Assist in building a high-performing finance function.
- Build reports and manage data sets using Excel.
Requirements:
- ACA Qualified or equivalent with strong academics.
- Proven experience leading a sizable finance team.
- Strong background in financial reporting, balance sheet control, and financial processes.
