We Do Group are delighted to be supporting a UK-based retailer, recruiting an Interim Finance Business Partner on a 3-5 month assignment while the business recruits a permanent employee.

The role will have 5 key internal stakeholders, including CEO, CFO & Head of Retail and will partner them to deliver strategic business outcomes across the 60 stores.

Location: Fully remote

Duration: 3-5 months

The Role

  • Work in partnership with the Operations team with a focus on P&L performance, cost management and delivery of financial and non-financial KPIs
  • Identify opportunities for growth and implement actions to deliver, working closely with the Area Ops Directors to deliver projects and initiatives that enhance or improve practice performance
  • Calibrate stores and drive the underperforming brands / emerging risks by identifying areas for improvement and supporting Operations team with resources, planning, implementation and tracking
  • Work with the Commercial Finance team to ensure that the suite of reports coming out of Finance to the business is user-friendly and provides the required level of detail on the key topics
  • Delivery of insights and training to ensure the best use of metrics to understand and drive performance
  • Build a strong relationship with the FP&A team to drive the budget and reforecasting process
  • Liaise with the management accounting team to deliver month end reporting, understand and build commentary on key variances
  • Complete investment appraisals to ensure appropriate allocation of the ROI capex budget
  • Deliver weekly and monthly trading packs on timely basis
  • Deliver Month end close and drive follow ups to conclusion
  • Support 2-way internal communications throughout the business, specifically between Ops and Finance
  • Project work as allocated by the CEO & Directors including Central Finance transformation projects

Your Profile

  • Experienced Finance Business Partner, ideally with experience within a retail/multi-site business
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Available on short notice
