Are you a newly qualified accountant looking to build your career in industry? Do you enjoy hands-on work across statutory accounts, audits, and consolidations? We’re helping a group in central London hire a Head Office Accountant to join their head office finance team. This is a newly created, permanent role reporting into an excellent Group Finance Manager who has a track record of mentoring, developing, and delegating.

You’ll be working across three UK holding entities, helping with bookkeeping, consolidations, audits, and statutory accounts. It’s ideal for someone coming straight out of practice (ACA / ACCA), looking to roll up their sleeves and learn in a complex group structure.

THE ROLE
  • Support statutory accounting for 3 UK entities
  • Assist with monthly group consolidations
  • Prepare audit files and liaise with external auditors
  • Own areas of the trial balance (prepayments, accruals, payroll, intercompany, etc.)
  • Bookkeeping responsibilities for holding companies (e.g. invoices, recharges, journals)
  • Help calculate and apply intercompany recharges
  • Liaise with local finance teams across Europe on transactions and reconciliations
  • Ensure audit, tax, and statutory filings are accurate and timely
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and system/process integration
  • Act as the right-hand support to the Group Finance Manager
  • Take ownership and grow into a trusted senior in the team
YOUR PROFILE
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Audit-trained with experience preparing or reviewing statutory accounts
  • Able to prioritise, self-review, and take ownership of tasks
