Interim Head of FP&A

6-Month Interim Role

£500-£650 per day

Central London – Two Days a Week

This role is moving fast! An incredible opportunity for an Interim Head of FP&A to join a high-growth, PE-backed business with a turnover under £100m. The company is preparing for an exit in the next 12-18 months, offering a unique chance to make a significant impact during this critical period.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead core FP&A functions with a fast-paced, “get stuff done” attitude.
  • Oversee PE Reporting, ensuring all requirements align with Private Equity expectations.
  • Prepare insightful board packs, delivering strategic information to key decision-makers.
  • Manage banking reports and covenants, aligning financials with PE requirements.
  • Take the lead on budgeting and planning cycles to shape the business's financial future.
  • Provide cashflow forecasting expertise to keep the business on track.
  • Use advanced Excel to turn data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience with Adaptive and Power BI is a plus, especially for navigating the exit process.
  • Lead commercial finance and business partnering across the business.
  • Work directly with the board and PE firm.

Must-Have Skills:

  • PE Experience – Understanding the dynamics of Private Equity-backed businesses and reporting requirements.
  • Leading Board Packs and managing Banking Covenants.
  • Qualified Accountant – ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI, and ideally Adaptive.
  • Exit Experience – Familiarity with preparing for a business exit is highly advantageous.
