This is a high-impact, senior commercial finance role in a fast-growing, private equity-backed consulting and business services group. Scaling fast across multiple regions, the business is complex, people-led and data-driven. They need a commercially sharp finance leader to bring insight, structure and pace to decision‑making. This is a hands‑on, influential position. You’ll partner with the CFO, CEO, and Managing Directors to drive performance, shape strategy and ensure that commercial decisions are built on real financial understanding.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and develop the commercial finance function, managing and mentoring a small team of Finance Business Partners
- Partner with senior leaders across the UK, US and EMEA to challenge performance and drive growth
- Build and maintain commercial models to support pricing, investment, and scenario planning
- Own budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting across service lines and geographies
- Deliver clear, actionable insight that supports strategy, client profitability and margin improvement
- Work closely with the CFO and PE investors to deliver high‑quality reporting, board packs and analysis
- Support major strategic projects including M&A, international expansion and new service launches
- Develop dashboards, KPIs and performance tools that bring commercial visibility and accountability
- Lead continuous improvement across data, systems and reporting to enable better, faster decisions
- Act as the financial conscience of the business, ensuring smart investment and commercial discipline
What we’re looking for:
- Proven success as a Head of Commercial Finance, Head of FP&A or similar
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong commercial and analytical skills
- Experience in consulting, business services or other project‑based sectors
- Excellent communicator who can influence across C‑suite, investors and operational leadership
- Deep understanding of data, systems and reporting tools such as Power BI or Adaptive
- Hands‑on, solutions‑focused and comfortable in a high‑growth, PE‑backed environment
- Global experience (UK, US or EMEA exposure) would be useful but not essential
- Work directly with an impressive CFO and experienced PE investors
- Shape and lead the commercial finance agenda across a scaling international business
- High visibility and influence with board, investors and banks
- Build the frameworks, tools and insight capability that underpin future growth
Hybrid working, 1 to 2 days per week in the London office.
