Financial Modeller – Renewable Energy | PE-Backed Green Tech

💰 £75,000 – £85,000 + Bonus

📍 Hybrid – Woking

We’re partnering with a private equity-backed renewable energy company that’s scaling rapidly and delivering next-gen infrastructure across anaerobic digestion, carbon capture, and sustainable fuels. As the business gears up for its next growth phase, they’re looking for a Financial Modeller to support investment decisions, project development, and strategic planning.

🔍 The Role

This is a commercial modelling role in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. You’ll play a key part in evaluating new energy assets, analysing commercial performance, and enabling capital deployment through high-quality, adaptable models.

You’ll be:

  • Building and maintaining detailed financial models for new projects and acquisitions
  • Supporting M&A transactions, investor presentations, and due diligence workstreams
  • Modelling greenfield infrastructure developments and operational performance scenarios
  • Collaborating with business development, engineering, and finance teams to test assumptions
  • Delivering model outputs and insights that inform board-level and investor decisions
  • Assisting with funding rounds, regulatory modelling, and commercial contracts
  • Continuously improving modelling tools, templates, and data structures

🧠 Your Profile

You’re a confident and highly technical modeller with strong attention to detail and a commercial mindset. You enjoy working with complex data and thrive in fast-moving, entrepreneurial settings.

  • Degree in finance, economics, or related numerate field
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a financial modelling, corporate finance, or commercial analysis role
  • Advanced Excel skills — comfortable building models from scratch and adapting to project-specific needs
  • Experience in infrastructure, energy, renewables, or similar sectors
  • Clear communicator, able to simplify complex data for varied audiences
  • Full UK driving licence preferred (occasional site visits)
