We are partnering with a well-known international group to recruit a Finance Director to oversee and evolve their global finance shared services. This is a rare opportunity to join a business that is well-known, well-funded and actively growing - both in scale and sophistication.
As Finance Director of this area, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial engine of the business is performing at its best. You will lead a talented team across the shared services, while being embedded in senior leadership conversations and contributing to systems, processes and commercial strategy. This role spans SSC, systems, process and transformation - we want someone who can really drive world-class evolution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the operational delivery of a large-scale Finance Shared Services function, ensuring seamless performance across P2P, O2C, Intercompany, Capital Accounting, Cash, R2R, and Payroll.
- Define and implement the strategic vision of the Finance Hub, aligning service delivery with business objectives and promoting best-in-class practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance finance operational excellence.
- Act as the lead liaison for all internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring strong collaboration and transparency across the function.
- Uphold high standards of financial control and compliance, leading audit readiness and ensuring robust governance frameworks are in place.
- Coach and develop a high-performing team, building capability and promoting a positive, accountable culture across the function.
- Monitor and report on KPI and SLA performance, using data insights to identify areas for development and operational gains.
- Champion end-to-end process ownership and change readiness across finance transformation initiatives.
- Own the budget and financial planning for the shared services centre, ensuring efficient and sustainable cost management.
- Represent the Finance Hub at senior leadership level, driving visibility, influence, and strategic value within the wider business.
