We’re supporting a specialist investment management business undertaking a significant platform transformation project and are looking to appoint an experienced Data Migration Analyst on an interim basis. This is a high-impact role sitting within a core transformation programme focused on migrating client and investment data onto a new investment platform. The position requires a strong blend of business analysis, investment operations knowledge, and hands-on data migration expertise within a regulated financial services environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring complex investment and client data is accurately migrated, reconciled, tested, and validated while supporting operational and system process redesign throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse, map, and migrate complex client and investment data from legacy systems into the new investment platform
- Perform detailed data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities across multiple datasets
- Support the design and implementation of new data management and reconciliation processes
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and validate system configuration rules and workflows
- Manage testing activities, including UAT support, proof-of-concept testing, and business sign-off processes
- Reconcile historical investment data, transactions, fee schedules, and performance history
- Support integration and setup of third-party data feeds, custodians, and market data providers
- Identify data discrepancies, exceptions, and operational risks, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently
- Produce clear project documentation, progress reporting, and migration status updates
- Collaborate with operations, technology, and external vendors throughout the implementation lifecycle
- Proven experience in data migration within investment or wealth management
- Strong understanding of investment operations, portfolio data, and reconciliations
- Experience working on platform implementation or transformation projects
- Ability to analyse and reconcile large, complex financial datasets
- Experience supporting UAT, testing, and data validation processes
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Understanding of regulated financial environments and risk/control frameworks
- Exposure to investment platforms, custodians, or financial SaaS solutions highly desirable
- Experience with FA Solutions or Expersoft advantageous but not essential
