OXTED – PERMANENT – MULTI-SITE BUSINESS
Looking for a role where your financial insight directly shapes strategy, performance, and growth?
We’re partnering with a rapidly expanding catering business in the education sector, now turning over £35m, and with ambitious plans to grow by a further 20% in the next financial year. They’re on the lookout for a Commercial Management Accountant to bring structure, pace, and strategic thinking to a hands-on finance function.
This is a role for someone who thrives in a dynamic SME environment—comfortable balancing operational finance with real commercial partnering across a multi-site setup.
WISH LIST
- Experience preparing management accounts and supporting budget/forecast cycles
- Strong business partnering skills, especially in multi-site or contract-driven environments
- A hands-on operator with a commercial mindset and an eye for continuous improvement
THE ROLE
- Prepare and analyse client-level P&Ls (c.50 accounts) on a monthly basis
- Take ownership of billing, monthly reporting, and client account management
- Deliver budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple contracts
- Act as the key finance contact for 55+ schools and 10 Regional Operations Managers
- Build relationships to support performance tracking and commercial decision-making
- Improve and streamline systems and financial processes to support scale
- Get involved in business-wide projects and ad-hoc financial initiatives
YOUR PROFILE
- Part-qualified CIMA / ACCA (or QBE with solid experience)
- Experience in a multi-site, service-based, or contract-led business is a plus
- Confident communicator able to influence non-finance stakeholders
- Naturally analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially aware
- Comfortable rolling up sleeves in an evolving, fast-paced SME environment
