We Do Group are delighted to be recruiting a Senior Finance Manager to take full ownership of the financial performance and governance across a £50m+ contract portfolio. This is a high-profile leadership role, managing a team of five and acting as the final layer of financial control - ensuring accuracy, challenging performance and partnering with commercial teams to deliver results.
You’ll work closely with operational leaders and the Commercial Growth team to implement better controls, improve profitability, and enhance financial reporting across multiple contracts.

THE ROLE
- Financial Leadership & Control: Oversee the financial governance of a £50m+ contract portfolio, challenge financial performance and lead the development of cost control measures, ensure accurate reporting, balance sheet integrity, and working capital optimisation, proactively manage debt exposure across multiple clients and contracts.
- Strategic Business Partnering: Support operational leadership with performance insights and financial challenge, collaborate with commercial teams to drive better pricing and margin decisions, lead strategic reviews, budgeting, and long-range planning, identify opportunities for labour efficiency, cost savings, and margin growth.
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor a team of up to 3/4, visit each site regularly to provide direct support and build strong relationships, foster a high-performance finance culture and deliver training as needed.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Deliver all budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting activities, monitor KPIs including GP%, overheads, labour ratios, and revenue trends, ensure all reports are accurate, timely, and commercially insightful.
- Process Improvement & Compliance: Lead finance process improvements and drive system enhancements, ensure full compliance with internal policies and external obligations.
