A major global consumer brand is looking for an experienced Supply Planner to join the team on an initial 3-month contract. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the heart of the supply chain - balancing customer demand, stock availability, inventory levels and inbound supply, while working closely with Sales, Finance, suppliers and global S&OP teams. You’ll have genuine ownership and visibility across the business, helping ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time.
What will you be doing?
- Managing supply plans against changing forecasts and customer demand
- Reviewing and adjusting purchase orders and communicating changes to suppliers
- Supporting the S&OP process alongside Demand Planning, Sales and Finance
- Monitoring stock levels, days-on-hand and product availability
- Helping reduce out-of-stocks, slow-moving and excess inventory
- Producing weekly stock reporting and monthly supply dashboards
- Managing purchase orders, supplier call-offs and stock movements
- Supporting inbound logistics and ensuring stock flows smoothly into the UK
- Maintaining accurate inventory and product master data within Oracle
- Working closely with Finance around stock reconciliation and month-end accruals
- Supporting customs, inbound documentation and third-party logistics providers
The role has a really nice blend of supply planning, inventory management, analysis and stakeholder management – so they need someone who can understand the numbers but is equally comfortable communicating across the business.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience within Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Demand/Supply Planning or a similar supply chain role
- Strong Excel skills are important, with Oracle experience particularly useful
- Analytical, organised and comfortable working at pace, with the confidence to take ownership and communicate with multiple stakeholders
Initial 3-month contract | Competitive day rate
