We are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger professional to support a rapidly growing international IT services organisation, based in Addlestone. This position would be ideal for someone with established transactional accounting skills who enjoys delivering accounting tasks with a high degree of accuracy. The Role
The successful Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for the following:
- Using a Centralised Account Payable service centre, assist with processing vendor invoices that are received from global offices and enter into the accounting system.
- Monitor the supplier records on the system.
- Processing employee expenses on the internal expense reporting system on Lotus Notes, ensuring adherence to the company expenses policy.
- Upload employee expenses into the accounting system.
- Prepare weekly vendor payment files for uploading to our banking system.
- Ensure prompt and timely payments.
- Prepare relevant journals entries, including prepayments, for month end.
- Maintain regular and accurate filing system for all paperwork.
- Manage pre-payment of overseas accommodation.
- Monitor bank accounts and post transactions in the accounting system on a weekly basis.
- Support the reconciliation of bank accounts (weekly and at month end).
- Assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc finance tasks.
We need someone who is a strong communicator, diligent, enthusiastic and willing to get stuck in across a variety of finance duties. Great attention to detail and an ability to handle queries in a professional manner (both internally and externally) is essential!
Your Profile
We are looking for an experienced purchase ledger professional who is focused on building their experience in transactional accounting. Prior transactional finance experience in a multi-entity or multi-currency environment would be highly desirable but isn't essential. Sound experience of Excel would also be advantageous (Vlookups and Pivot tables).
£35,000 - £40,000 plus benefits. This role is based in stunning offices in Addlestone with parking and public transport links.
