We Do Group are partnering exclusively with an international energy and industrial-services business to recruit a newly created Senior Manager, FP&A.
This is an opportunity to join a global organisation at an exciting stage of growth and help shape the next phase of its FP&A function.
The business operates across multiple international markets, with major operations in the UK, Americas, Australia and the Middle East. It has ambitious organic growth plans and supports customers across traditional energy, LNG, industrial facilities, infrastructure and data centres.
This is not a steady-state or purely reporting-focused FP&A role.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will initially focus on strengthening the foundations of global FP&A. This will include improving master data, standardising management reporting and creating better alignment between FP&A, global accounting, regional finance teams and Shared Services.
Once those foundations are established, the role will move increasingly towards senior business partnering, long-range planning and commercial decision support.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
• Improving the quality, accessibility and consistency of global financial information
• Developing standardised management reporting across different geographies
• Strengthening master data and reporting structures
• Partnering with global accounting, regional finance and Shared Services
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling
• Contributing to five-year planning for the board and shareholders
• Turning financial and operational data into clear commercial insight
• Supporting senior leaders across three global service lines
• Identifying risks, opportunities and performance improvements
• Managing and developing one direct report
• Helping FP&A become a more proactive and forward-looking business partner
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
• A qualified accountant or an individual with equivalent senior finance experience
• A strong background in FP&A, commercial finance or performance management
• Experience working within an international, multi-geography organisation
• A genuine interest in systems, financial data and reporting processes
• Evidence of improving management information or master data
• Strong communication and senior stakeholder-management skills
• The ability to understand complex issues and identify what genuinely requires action
• A practical approach and willingness to get into the detail
• Experience of system implementation, rollout or management would be highly valuable
Direct oil and gas experience is not essential.
The successful candidate could come from energy, engineering, technology, logistics, professional services or another fast-moving international services business.
What matters is your ability to manage complexity, improve the quality of information and help senior leaders make better decisions.
The position is based in Aberdeen, with an expected working pattern of approximately three office days and two days from home.
