We Do Data are working with a forward-thinking further education college group who are split between 2 campuses who are looking for an experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer to join their Systems Innovation team, providing expert technical support and helping shape the future of the IT infrastructure.
The Role As a 3rd Line Support Engineer, you will act as the senior technical escalation point for complex IT issues, supporting a diverse infrastructure of on-prem and cloud-based technologies.
You'll work closely with several departments across the college, lead technical problem-solving, contribute to infrastructure projects, and ensure systems remain secure, resilient, and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities Act as the escalation point for complex 2nd and 3rd line technical issues.
Support and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP environments.
Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 and enterprise applications.
Monitor infrastructure performance, backups, patching and disaster recovery solutions.
Support virtualisation platforms and cloud services.
Participate in infrastructure upgrades, digital transformation projects and continuous service improvement.
