We're looking for a proactive and resilient HR Assistant to support a busy and evolving care service in Leicester. This is an exciting opportunity to join a service that supports individuals with complex behavioural needs and is currently going through a positive period of change and development.
You’ll work closely with the Management Team and wider People Team, playing a key role in supporting employee relations, embedding new processes, and helping to drive a consistent and effective people approach across the service.
About The Role- Employee Relations
- Supporting managers with ER matters such as absence, performance, investigations, disciplinary, grievance, probation, and capability
- Maintaining accurate case records and documentation
- Escalating complex cases to the HR Manager where appropriate
- People Policy, Process & Compliance
- Supporting the consistent application of HR policies and procedures
- Contributing to continuous improvement of People processes
- Supporting compliance with employment law and internal standards
- People Operations
- Acting as a first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries
- Supporting employee lifecycle activities (onboarding, changes, offboarding)
- Maintaining accurate employee data using systems such as Employment Hero and Payroll
- Performance, Wellbeing & Engagement
- Supporting managers with performance and development plans
- Promoting wellbeing initiatives and available support
- Assisting with engagement activities and action planning
- Data & Reporting
- Supporting reporting on key metrics such as absence, turnover, and ER trends
- Using data to help identify trends and inform proactive actions
- Project Support
- Supporting wider people projects (e.g. culture, change, talent, reward)
- Essential
- Experience in a generalist HR/Admin or People role
- Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator, able to build effective working relationships
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Desirable
- CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) or equivalent experience
- Experience using Employment Hero or a similar HR system
- Experience working in a fast-paced, changing environment
