Home Manager Location: Brandon House Nursing Home, Tongue Lane, Leeds

About the Role

The Home Manager is responsible for leading and motivating the care team, ensuring the well-being of residents, and maintaining high standards of care and safety. The role includes providing clinical guidance, coaching staff, and making critical decisions to support resident independence, dignity, and choice.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide leadership for administration, care, catering, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, and people-management functions.
  • Lead marketing of services and promote the home’s services at agreed prices.
  • Govern operations within the agreed standards, financial budget, and other parameters set by the Registered Provider.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of residents.
  • Ensure residents are at the heart of care delivery, and their wishes and preferences enhance wellbeing.
  • Undertake care planning activities, ensuring privacy, dignity, choice, and informed consent.
  • Develop Care Plans collaboratively with residents, family, friends, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Manage all aspects of medication in line with legal, professional, and regulatory requirements.
  • Embed multidisciplinary team working.
  • Act as a mentor and build strong team relationships.
  • Provide care in accordance with best practice, policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
