About The Role
Role
We have a great opportunity for a Regional Care Quality Nurse to join our friendly and expanding Regional Team who work regionally across our care homes. This is a hybrid role with the requirement to travel across the Yorkshire and Humberside region. We are looking for a Registered General Nurse with proven experience in the care industry.
Job Overview
Our Regional Care Quality Nurse ensure clinical compliance of the Care Homes within the region to the appropriate legislation, regulations and registration standards. They keep up to date with all new clinical legislation, regulations and registration authority requirements, and to ensure the effective communication of the same to all staff. They positively support and work collaboratively with Home Managers/Regional Managers/ Operations Managers with the clinical management of the WCG care homes to ensure consistency. They ensure the smooth operation of the Home\'s Quality Management System through appropriate Self-Assessment and Quality Systems Audits, to ensure that declared quality outcomes are maintained.
Responsibilities And Duties Of The Job

  • Ensure Service Users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
  • Ensuring all recording systems and organisational documentation are of a high standard and kept up to date.
  • To support with the completion of clinical supervisions for nurses where needed.
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support.
  • Care Quality Nurses are masters at multi-tasking and knowing how to prioritise tasks. The job requires frequent travel.
  • Supporting with training for clinical staff and non-clinical staff.
  • Supporting with medication competencies where required.
  • Addressing any lapses in compliance with clinical audits.
  • Helping develop strategies setting targets and audit tools.
  • Supporting care home managers and regionals / operations managers and act as a resource.
  • Monitoring the performance of teams and motivating them to reach targets
  • Looking at QCS and merging policies to We Care Group
  • Supporting the nurses with the NMC revalidation process where needed.
  • Support the Managers with the preceptorship training of newly qualified nurses with the NMC.
  • Monitor untoward incidents, safeguarding, notifications where required and assist with Clinical investigations when requested
  • Lead and drive the roll out of Care Vision, including care planning and electric medication administration recording.
  • Lead and drive the roll out of MOA Care Compliance.
  • Complete Mock Inspections and the creation of action plans and support for CQC preparation.
  • Support with induction processes for new managers / members of the regional team.
