WCB NE provide support to children and young people who are in crisis. We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to ensure their team is providing the highest level of care and support. As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing placements supporting young people in emergency accommodation who may be in crisis. You will be required to travel to different locations; the role will predominantly be Monday to Friday 9-5, however, there may be occasions where you need to be flexible to support with the needs of the young person.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day of packages ensuring that service delivery is aligned with the young people's needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor person-centred support plans
- Maintain a high standard of communication and reporting, ensuring all documentation is clear, accurate, and up-to-date
- Work with professionals involved
- Induct, train, and support new team members
- Conduct risk assessments
- Provide supervisions
- On-call will be required which is additional pay
The successful candidate for this role should possess the following:
- Experience in supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties/behaviour that challenges or working with young people who live with learning disabilities
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working within a Children's Residential Home within the last 5 years is desirable
- At least 1 year’s experience within a Supervisory or Leadership role within a Children's Home setting or similar
- A minimum of Level 3 in children and young people
- A Full UK Driving License with Business Insurance and access to a car
- Desirable level 5 Diploma in Children and Young People or Social Work degree or equivalent
