WCB NE provide support to children and young people who are in crisis. We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to ensure their team is providing the highest level of care and support.
As a Deputy Manager you will be responsible for overseeing placements supporting young people in emergency accommodation who may be in crisis. You will be required to travel to different locations. The role will predominantly be Monday to Friday 9-5; however, there may be occasions where you need to be flexible to support with the needs of the young person.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day of packages ensuring that service delivery is aligned with the young people's needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor person-centred support plans
- Maintain a high standard of communication and reporting, ensuring all documentation is clear, accurate, and up-to-date
- Work with professionals involved
- Induct, train, and support new team members
- Conduct risk assessments
- Provide supervisions
- On-call will be required which is additional pay
- Experience in supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties/behaviour that challenges or working with young people who live with learning disabilities
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working within a Children’s Residential Home within the last 5 years is desirable
- At least 1 year’s experience within a Supervisory or Leadership role within a Children’s Home setting or similar
- A minimum of Level 3 in children and young people
- A Full UK Driving License with Business Insurance and access to a car
- Desirable Level 5 Diploma in Children and Young People or Social Work degree or equivalent
