Solvit Recruitment are currently looking for a HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers.
This is an on-going role adhoc cover working up to 4 days per week between Monday to Friday. 9.25 hours per shift.
Location Walsall.
Induction followed by 3 days training.
This is a varied role.
- Collection of Bulky Items.
- Primary function, day to day driving duties.
- Household door-to-door collections, commercial waste collections.
- Street cleaning and associated functions.
- Recycling collections, performance targets and reducing contamination
- Garden waste collections, food waste collections, domestic refuse collections.
- Recycling collection services.
- Bulky item collections, bin delivery, mechanical sweeper operations, removal of fly tipping.
Pay £16.35 Per Hour.
Rolled up Holiday Pay £18.32
We are working with a local authority who are looking for an HGV Class 2 Environmental HGV Class 2 Driver, you will drive a refuse collection vehicle supplied by the Authority to carry out designated duties.
These duties are to ensure that all waste streams (including Trade Waste) are collected.
This is a varied role and you will be working and assisting on your team, and on occasion you will be on the road sweeper.

Requirements
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Understand Health & Safety.
- Comply with all Site Safety Instructions relating to all landfill sites, waste transfer stations and recycling merchant sites.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication oral and written.
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries.
- HGV Class 2 experience.
- No DR, DD, TT, IN and not served any bans in the last 5 years.
- No more than 3 Points.
